Safety Harbor Deli offers free lunch this week in light of COVID-19

Safety Harbor’s favorite sandwich makers, Mayur and Ervin from the Mobil gas station and the Safety Harbor Deli on Main Street have opened their deli door to kids in need of a wholesome lunch this week.

The owner of Mobil, Mayur says, “With all the schools closed down because of the virus, there are a lot of kids out there right now that are missing out on lunches that they would normally receive at school.”

Ervin (the guy behind the deli counter who has become a local celebrity from his delicious deli sandwiches) really wanted to help these kids and so they started to think about different ways they could help and Ervin said, “Hey Mayur, why don’t we give kids a free sandwich for lunch this week?”

He went on to say that “we want to do our part in helping out the community during these hard times, and so we are offering any children in the area who really need a lunch, to stop by anytime between 11am and 1pm this week and pickup a sandwich.”

The Safety Harbor Deli is located inside of the Mobil gas station at: 600 Main Street, Safety Harbor, FL 34695

A free sandwich will be given to children in need (Elementary and Middle School children) of a lunch between 11am and 1pm, for the remainder of the regular school year (through May 29, 2020).

  1. Awesome! 21 years in Safety Harbor and I didn’t know there was a Deli in the mobile station until now. Next time I need a sandwich, I will check it out.

  2. Irvvvv Mayurrrrr my boys long time no see! Lookin good and thanks for the public outreach! Y’all are the best!

  3. Love this uplifting story about these amazing members of our community. Lunches for kids is yet another way this Downtown business is generous and community minded. I also appreciate how they maintain a sparklingly clean property and uncluttered windows. Thank you Mayur and Irvin for all you do! #GasStationChickenSalad ❤️

    • Isn’t it wonderful to see the goodness in people shining through and helping rather than pulling down and griping. I’m so proud of the way we pull together and help each other.
