Library Offers New “3 for Me” Library Card for Youth
The Most Important Card in your Wallet; your Library Card
One of the simplest ways a parent can ensure the success or their child is to make sure they have a library card. Unfortunately, not all children have a parent available to sign them up for a card. As a solution, your Pinellas Public Libraries now offer a new library card for children and teens, ages 4-17, called 3 for Me. Perks of the new 3 for Me library card include access to all e-resources, no parent or guardian signature needed, NO overdue fines, and check out of three books at time. Sorry, no DVDs or CDs.
With September designated as National Library Card Sign-up Month we want to make sure every student has the most import school supply of all; a library card. Students can turn to the library for books, online resources, and more to support academic achievement and recreational reading. The library provides a welcoming atmosphere for after school homework help and provides a place where students can explore, study, and create.
Library cards can be used from home too. The library provides access to important educational resources students can access remotely with a library card, such as Tumblebooks, e-books for our youngest members and other online resources like InfoTrac for Students and Kids InfoBits. Visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com to explore all we have to offer or ask anyone of us here to tell you about what your library card can do for you. Call 727-724-1525 x4112 for information.
