Help us preserve local history and support the Safety Harbor Public Library by purchasing a t-shirt. Now and until November 15, t-shirts will be available for purchase online at http://www.booster.com/safetyharborlibraryhistory.  100% of funds raised will help digitize historic Safety Harbor Herald newspapers.

Shirts are $22.00 and available in youth, women’s and men’s sizes. Supporters that purchase a shirt will be notified via email when it is available for pick up the first week in December (at the Library) just in time for holiday gift giving. The logo was designed by Countryside High School Student, Alex Rodriquez, winner of the recent logo contest sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

In summer 2013, the Library received a donation of additional newspapers from the Safety Harbor Museum and Cultural Center. The Library is in the process of adding these to the digital collection to further preserve the history of Safety Harbor and the surrounding area.  This fundraiser will assist in the digitization costs of the donated newspapers and allow them to be shared online with the world.

Help us preserve local history by purchasing a t-shirt and helping this valuable collection to be shared with historians and citizens interested the area’s past. For more information, email lkothe@cityofsafetyharbor.com or visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com.
