Lib_Card_Month_FB

One of the simplest ways a parent can ensure the success or their child is to make sure they have a library card.  September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Safety Harbor Public Library joins libraries county, state, and nationwide to make sure every student has the most import school supply of all; a library card.

Resources at the Safety Harbor Library are available to anyone with a Pinellas Public Library Cooperative (PPLC) library card.  Story Times for children of all ages provides a base for early literacy and learning.  Students can turn to the library for books, online resources, DVDs, programs, and more to support academic achievement and recreational reading.  The library provides a welcoming atmosphere for after school homework help and provides a place where students can explore, study, and create.

Library cards can be used from home, too.  The library offers access to important educational resources students can access remotely with a library card, such as Tumblebooks, e-books for our youngest members, and other online resources like Gale InfoTrac for Students and Kids InfoBits.  Visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com for explore all we have to offer.

For more information on how to sign up for a free library card, visit any public library in person or visit PPLC online at www.pplc.us/libcardform.shtml
