City asks for input on Master Plan
The Safety Harbor Library will host a community meeting from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
What is the Master Plan Meeting for?
After 30 years, it is time for the city to revisit and update it’s Master Plan. During this time period, the CRA has implemented numerous projects including streetscaping, landscaping, public art, public parking, and the purchase of Waterfront Park and Baranoff Park. Take part and contribute your thoughts! The meeting will involve break out group discussions, which Collaborative Labs will guide.

Who are Collaborative Labs you might ask? CL helps to create, productive, engaging meetings with actionable results! Collaborative Labs has meeting documentation called your “Real-time Record” that captures the presentations, conversation highlights, and brainstorming ideas allowing you the opportunity to actively engage without having to takes notes. No great idea will be left unturned!
Objectives of the Downtown Master Plan Meeting
The city’s vision, valued treasures list and redevelopment goals/related projects are just a few of the important topics that will be subject of input gathering. The “Master Plan” includes these 6 objectives to discuss including:
Objective 1: Protect and enhance the natural environment.
Objective 2: Improve parking and mobility
Objective 3: Improve the physical appearance and ambiance of the public realm and encourage private sector reinvestment in declining properties.
Objective 4: Increase the supply of affordable housing.
Objective 5: Recruit targeted businesses, showcase the downtown, and create a more favorable business environment
Objective 6: Promote arts, culture, and leisure activities and encourage the preservation of historic structures and Safety Harbor’s unique sense of history
