Safety Harbor Public Library offers Scholarships to Earn a High School Diploma

Become our next graduate! Safety Harbor Public Library provides scholarships to qualifed adults in Pinellas County to earn a free, accreditied high school diploma fully online. To date, twenty students are graduates from this program with many moving on to higher education and better paying jobs.   

Through a partnership with Career Online High School (COHS) and a grant from the state Division of Library and Information Services, the library provides scholarships as part of our adult education programming.The program provides a 24/7 online classroom and personal academic coaches, with no materials to purchase. Graduates receive an accredited diploma and a career certificate in their chosen path, plus a resume, cover letter, and other tools to advance their careers.

“This program has taught me so much I would of never learned without it. I went from being insecure to a confident, happy person, who feels unstoppable. I am currently an assistant for an online business and planning on applying for college in the fall. My future goals include becoming a doctor and helping people with mental disabilities. Students have eighteen months to complete the program and previous high school credits may transfer. To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

– Age 19 and older
– Pinellas County Resident
– Have a library card or willing get one
– Have at least one year of High School already completed
