Safety Harbor Public Library Offers Red Cross Babysitter Certification Class
Local youth, boys and girls, ages 11-19 years old are encouraged to register for the American Red Cross Babysitter Certification Class to be held at the Safety Harbor Public Library on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
This course offers hands-on skills and covers:
- Basic First Aid
- Safe and Creative Play
- Basic Care for Infants and Children
- How to Respond in an Emergency
The course is designed to help participants develop skills in leadership and professionalism, including how to advertise and interview for babysitting jobs, and handling behavioral problems in a creative way. After completing the class, participants will receive an American Red Cross Certificate of Completion and a babysitter’s handbook. A free pizza lunch is included courtesy of the Friends of the Safety Harbor Library.
The Babysitter Certification class requires a non-refundable registration fee of $85.00. Full payment (cash or check made payable to American Red Cross) is required to pre-register. Registration is completed at the Youth Services Desk at the Library.
