ArtWalk to debut downtown on April 27

Safety Harbor has always been a haven for artists and their work, and starting next month, there will be a new event to showcase art in the city.

Safety Harbor resident Tanja Vidovic has paired 20 local artists with 23 local businesses that will turn downtown into a walking art gallery, with the art changing every three months. Each time it does, an ArtWalk will be held to show off the new works.

“This is not your average artwalk, where you would typically find only open studios and galleries,” Vidovic says. “This Art Walk will include studios, galleries and local businesses. Along the walk, you will see artists painting, doing photography, dancing and more. On the opening night of each ArtWalk,  there will be guided tours where you can hear more about the business and artists or you can grab a map and do a self-guided tour.”

The first ArtWalk will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on April 27, ending at SHAMc for a celebration. More information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/groups/183833618876878/.
