Award winning Japanese guitarist Hiroya Tsukamoto will perform at the Safety Harbor Public Library on Saturday, September 3, 2:00 pm. Hiroya’s unique style of acoustic music combines an innovative eclectic blend of folk and world styles, described as cinematic poetry, that will lead you on an impressionistic musical journey.

Hiroya is a one-of-a kind composer, guitarist, and singer-songwriter from Kyoto, Japan. He began playing the five-string banjo at thirteen and took up the guitar shortly after. After receiving a scholarship in 2000 to Berklee College of Music, Hiroya, moved to the United States and formed the group Interoceanico. Since then, Hiroya has held concerts internationally, winning 2nd place in the 2018 International Finger Style Guitar Championships.

The library is located at 101 2nd Street North, Safety Harbor. Call 724-1525 x4112 for more information or visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com.
