Saturday, December 1 – Friends of the Safety Harbor Library Book Sale: The Friends of the Safety Harbor Public Library book sale is Saturday, December 1, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. All genres of books in good condition will be available, plus DVDs, music CDs, and more. Most items cost $1.00 with all proceeds benefiting the library. Join us for the Friends of the Library Member’s Only Preview on Friday, November 30 from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. All FOL members are invited and if you’re are not a FOL member, you can join at the door for just $10.
Wednesday, December 5, 10:30 AM – Celebrate Hanukkah: The Jewish Federation of Pinellas & Pasco Counties and Safety Harbor Public Library are joining together to bring some “light-hearted” Hanukkah fun to Safety Harbor. In an inclusive and entertaining atmosphere, the children will learn about the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah and the traditions of the Festival of Lights. At this free community PJ Library program, families with children under 8 are invited to experience a new spin on the dreidel story with a reading of the book Latke, the Lucky Dog!, plus crafts, snacks and music. Each child will receive a Hanukkah gift, courtesy of the Jewish Federation.
Thursday, December 6, 6:30 PM – Nan Colton Presents: Holiday Stories: A special holiday program presented by professional storyteller Nan Colton, of Solo Productions. Ms. Colton will blend non-secular stories, folklore, and traditional holiday tales offering guests of all ages the rare chance to hear fun secrets of the world’s most famous reindeer, jolly old St. Nick, and more!
Thursday, December 20, 6:30 PM – Broadway Musical Hits Concert with the Quintessence Chamber Winds: Enjoy Broadway hits with a non-traditional twist performed by the Quintessence Chamber Winds Quartet.
