the battle fought-
but only partial victory realized.
FOX lost Tuesday and Thursday
but three remain,
with a couch full of Barbies-
a token lefty, outnumbered, in the middle.
Hi Def sweethearts with blue eyes and every hair in place—
the semi-circle of cynicism and
political armchair quarterbacking
prevail on the giant flat screens.
Three days of hate,
snarky sound bites , and stilettos.
Three days of analysts with degrees
from Ford Modeling , Phoenix, and MTV.
Three days of skewed statistics
and commercials pushing reverse mortgages
and silver coins.
Three days of hating on Hillary.
1984 revisited
with meaty-faced Trumps
barking proclamations over the heads
of the working poor.
If it’s Tuesday it’s CNN.
