Friends of the Safety Harbor Library Announce Scholarships
The Friends of the Safety Harbor Library, a 501(c)(3) library support organization, announces two, one thousand dollar ($1,000) educational scholarship opportunities for students positively influenced by libraries. High school seniors residing in the City of Safety Harbor or seniors who have volunteered at the Safety Harbor Public Library, graduating from a Pinellas County public or private high school in June 2016 and continuing their education as a full-time college student in fall 2016, are eligible to apply.
Information and applications are available online at www.FriendsSafetyHarborLibrary.com. The application deadline is Thursday, March 31, 2016, 5:00 pm. Applications include a 350-word, written essay describing how libraries have helped to achieve academic goals and influenced their personal life along with the application and high school transcript. Applications can be dropped off or mailed to the Safety Harbor Public Library.
