The public is invited to attend a presentation on Medicare 101 on Friday, September 18, 2:00-4:00 pm at Safety Harbor Public Library. Medicare 101 is conducted by specially trained volunteers of the SHINE program and will provide detailed information on the basics of Medicare, including Medicare supplement insurance, Medicare Advantage plans, and financial assistance programs. SHINE representatives will be available to answer questions and provide enrollment or benefit application assistance.
The Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) Program is available to provide free, unbiased information and assistance to Florida Medicare beneficiaries as they carefully evaluate their health care options.
