Seafood 101 with Chef Warren Caterson at the Safety Harbor Library

March 8, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Seafood 101 - March 8, 6:30 pm

Award-winning cookbook author Chef Warren Caterson will share dozens of kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes about the joys and challenges of cooking seafood at the Safety Harbor Public Library on Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 pm.

Cooking with seafood always brings up a multitude of questions. Fresh verses frozen fish, dry fish, the best way to cook, the difference between farm-raised and wild-caught, why some fish are widely available and inexpensive and others are not, canned oysters, and (most importantly) whether or not it is okay to serve red wine with seafood, are some of the topics to be discussed. Chef Warren end the presentation with a seafood cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy seafood entrée that anyone can replicate in their own home in less than 10 minutes.

Chef Warren Caterson is a full time writer and chef who studied at the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts. He has published two cookbooks, Table for Two: The Cookbook for Couples and its sequel, Table for Two: Back for Seconds.

The Library is located at 101 2nd Street North, Safety Harbor. Call 724-1525 x4112 for more information or visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com.
