Come volunteer for a Harbor Clean-up Day. Your help is needed and let’s come together as a community to make our waterfront look great! The City of Safety Harbor will be providing the plastic bags for clean-up as well as a dumpster. Low tide will be in the AM when we are working in and around the area.
This event will focus on cleaning trash around the boardwalk and waterfront park.
Individuals from “Keep Pinellas Beautiful” will be there to help with cleaning the mangroves. They will be arriving before us at 8am. Nancy McCellan was able to arrange their assistance.
If you don’t like going in the water or mangrove areas, don’t worry, there are many other areas in the waterfront park that need clean-up (i.e., area on North Bayshore/along bridge needs raking and dead branch(es) pick-up). Please wear appropriate shoes if going in the water, bring gloves if you have as well as rakes for clean-up areas.
