The Safety Harbor Public Library will host Myths & Realities of Bats, presented by Shari Blissett-Clark of the Florida Bat Conservancy, Thursday, October 25, 6:30 pm. Presentation will include bats’ importance to habitats and human health and help dispel common misconceptions of these nocturnal creatures.
The Florida Bat Conservancy preserves and protects the native bat populations within the state of Florida. They present educational programs on bats, rescue and care for hundreds of injured and orphaned bats, work with state and local agencies on numerous bat conservation projects, and help home and business owners with bats in their buildings.
